We are changing Army culture, making power and energy an 'accountable consideration' in everything we do.
Every Soldier a Power Manager.
Army Power and Energy
The Army is enhancing mission effectiveness through Power and Energy advancements. Senior Army Leaders have identified Army Power and Energy as an Army Priority. Energy goals and metrics have been incorporated into the Army Campaign Plan, the capstone document that sets priorities for Army Leaders.
The Army views Power and Energy from three lines of effort:
- Soldier Power
- Basing Power
- Vehicle Power
- Operational Energy
- The energy and associated systems, information, and processes required to train, move, and sustain forces and systems for military operations.
- Net Zero
- The cornerstone of the Army strategy for sustainability and energy security, based on the principles of integrated design.
- Energy Initiatives
- To strengthen energy security, support our energy goals and optimize available resources, we need private-sector know-how, entrepreneurism and participation.
