U.S. Army Installation Management Command
The Installation Management COMMAND (IMCOM) is a field operating agency under the Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Installation Management, HQDA. The IMCOM is a key component of Army Transformation through its mandate to standardize installation management and operations at U.S. Army installations worldwide. HQ IMCOM and IMCOM Region Public Affairs Officers work with Army and DoD to coordinate public affairs plans and responses on installation issues of national or regional interest. Garrison staffs manage the day-to-day business of installations to support Soldiers, Families and the civilian workforce. Garrison public affairs staff are responsible for the installation�s community relations program, the installation�s command information program (to include newspaper), and to provide PA support to all organizations on the installation that do not have organic public affairs. Garrison public affairs staff is responsible for working with media and the public on all queries concerning installation management and services.
