Projects and Opportunities

Secure and reliable access to energy, water, and land resources is vital for the Army to perform its mission and support global operations. Through the OEI, the Army seeks to achieve energy security and resilience on its installations by developing "islandable" projects (projects with the ability to maintain operations when the electric grid goes down). Islandable projects contribute to the Army's ability to provide access to necessary energy and water in the event of a disruption.
